This policy explains what information Deedstone Mortgage Protection ("Deedstone," "we," "us") collects through deedstoneprotection.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Deedstone offers insurance products through licensed insurance agents.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote, call us, text us, or use our chat, you may give us:

Contact details: name, mobile phone number, email address, and state.
Mortgage details: your remaining balance range and monthly payment range.
Beneficiary details: the name and relationship of your beneficiary and who depends on your income.
Personal and health details: age, gender, a general health rating, any conditions you select, notes you type, and whether you have used tobacco or nicotine.
Your preferences, such as the best time to reach you, and anything you say to us in messages, chats, or calls.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we receive technical data such as your IP address and the approximate location it points to (city and state), your browser, device and screen details, your language and time zone, the pages you view, how you move through our quote form (for example, how long each step takes), and the link or ad that brought you here (for example, campaign tags and a Facebook click ID). When you submit a quote request, we connect this information to it. We use cookies and similar technologies for this, as described below.

How we use your information

To prepare your quote, compare carriers, and contact you about your options.
To help you apply for coverage when you ask us to.
To respond to your questions and keep a record of your consent to be contacted.
To measure and improve our website and our advertising.
To protect the site, prevent fraud and spam, and meet legal and licensing requirements.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

Insurance carriers and underwriters, when you ask us to quote or apply for coverage on your behalf.
Service providers that run our business, including our website host (Vercel), our customer management and messaging platform (HighLevel), and Google (for the spreadsheets we use to organize quote requests). They may process your information only to provide services to us.
Advertising and analytics partners. If we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, it receives page and event information and may receive your contact details in hashed (scrambled) form so Meta can match visits to ads. We do not send your health answers to Meta.
Legal and safety reasons, such as responding to a lawful request, enforcing our terms, or protecting people and property.
A business transfer, if Deedstone is ever sold or reorganized.

Mobile information. We do not share your mobile phone number or your text message consent with any third party for its marketing or promotional purposes. The sharing described above is limited to the service providers that send and store our messages.

Calls and email

If you check the consent box on our quote form, you agree that we may call you, including with automated dialing technology, and email you about insurance at the phone number and email address you gave us. Consent is not a condition of buying any product. The quote form does not sign you up for text messages. You can ask us to stop calling or emailing you at any time.

Text messages

We send text messages only to people who choose to receive them through the chat widget on our website. If you give us your mobile number in the chat and agree to receive texts, you consent to text messages from Deedstone Mortgage Protection about your insurance questions, quotes, and follow-up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of buying any product. We do not share text message opt-in data or consent with any third party for its marketing or promotional purposes. See our Terms of Service for the full text messaging terms.

Health information

You choose what health information to give us. We use it to find carriers and plans that fit your situation, and we share it with carriers only when you ask us to quote or apply. We do not use it for advertising and we do not give it to ad platforms.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, browser storage, and tags to keep the quote form working, remember where you came from, and measure our advertising. Our site also loads fonts from Google and a chat widget from HighLevel, which may collect your IP address and device information. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Some features may not work if you do. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as needed to serve you, meet legal and insurance record-keeping requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. After that we delete it or remove identifying details.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on the systems that hold your information. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can opt out of marketing calls, texts, and emails at any time. Depending on where you live, state laws (such as in California, Virginia, Colorado, Texas, and others) may give you additional rights, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we will not treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the time the law requires. Some information must be kept for legal reasons even after a deletion request.

Children

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated policy.
